About us
Task Corporation are specialists in bespoke manufacturing of joinery fabrications supplying the retail, leisure and hospitality sectors.
The company was founded in 1996, operating out of a small factory unit in Wigston, Leicester but it was from this humble beginning that the versatility and strengths of the company were forged.
Following retirements by the founding directors, the Company is now managed by the current directors and owners, David Ashfield and Mark Brown.
We moved to our present location in 2001 and, in the years leading up to 2008, the company expanded to a 35 strong workforce.
Since 2008 the company has expanded to where it is today, employing between 85 to 100 operatives and working from our own premises of 40,000 ft².
With over 23 years activity within the industry, we have not only gained an extensive amount of experience but have also formed strong business relationships with a diverse range of premium and highly valued clients; this has enabled us to confidently plan and independently finance current and future projects.
Investment has always been part of the Task philosophy, incorporating in house facilities to help us to meet the demands of our clients and the industry which we serve. Although principally joinery based, the Company now has fully integrated departments covering many of the associated trades specific to our industry.
These include metal work, spraying and finishing, solid surface preparation, acrylic fabrication with laser cutting and uv bonding plus a highly professional electrical department, registered to NIC/EIC standard.
Along with a Design & Project management team, this has allowed us to maintain control of our own projects in terms of both quality and lead times.
Apart from the commercial aspects of our operation, we are also justifiably proud of our approach to Health and Safety issues in the workplace.
As well as investment in the manufacturing process, we also invest heavily in safety issues including protective workwear, education and staff training to ensure as safe a work environment as possible.
Our Services
Design and Development
We are able to assist our clients from the very start of an idea, working with them to help develop these into reality. This can include sketches, 3D renders, CAD drawings, sourcing materials, create samples, mock-ups and prototypes.
Project Management
Our team of project managers has a unique partnership with their clients. From initial brief to completion, we aim to hit deadlines and budgets without compromising quality and never losing sight of the initial brief.
CNC
Continued investment into having an up-to-date CNC machine is crucial for us as it plays a key role in our manufacturing capabilities and the service we can offer.
Joinery
Employing over 30 experienced and skilled joiners ensures that our manufacturing is always completed to the highest quality and standard in the industry.
Our continued commitment to training apprenticeships ensures that we have dedicated and fully skilled craftsmen on our workforce that become an asset to the company.
Acrylics and Solid Surface Fabrication
We are approved fabricators of solid suface materials such as Corian, Staron and Hanex. These materials are extremely versatile and durable and are used in many retail designs. We have a large forming oven, which in conjunction with our CNC, can produce a diverse range of shapes and forms using these materials.
Acrylic fabricators work alongside our joiners to produce elements and displays as well as full acrylic units. We are also able to UV bond glass together to create glass structures.
Metalwork
Our Metalwork department, with a highly skilled team, is yet another great asset to us, allowing effective production and allows us to limit the need for external suppliers.
Having in-house Metalwork also enables us to liaise with all our other in-house manufacturing departments to ensure that all components are compatible.
Electrics
We are proud that Task is fully NICEIC registered. Our team of electricians help us to stay up to date with the latest equipment and technology. More and more we are being asked to produce units with greater efficiency, so along with the latest technologies, the guidance and advice of our electrical team is crucial in meeting these demands.
Spraying
Along with a new spray booth, the latest spray guns and techniques our sprayers can produce the highest quality finishes on a multitude of substrates. Much of what is currently produced, needs to go through the spray shop and our sprayers are able to meet the pressures to always give the best quality.
Shop Fitting
We have a very experienced projects and installation team which is able to provide management of all aspects of shop fitting.
Along with some great contractors we can deal with just about anything that is thrown at us from electrics, plumbing, air-conditioning, alarms, to planning applications and much more

Airports
Working in Airports is a tough and heavily regulated environment. TASK are used to working in all UK Airports and have installed in many other Airports around the world, so are used to all regulations whether they are Health and Safety or Fire Ratings.
From a simple unit install to a full shop fit out, we are able to tailor our full service to meet your requirements.
We have full pass holders to work both landside and airside at Birmingham, Bristol, Gatwick, Heathrow and Stansted. We also have vast experience of working in London City, East Midlands, Midlands and Manchester in the UK and Geneva, Charles de Gaulle, Lisbon, Zurich, Dusseldorf, Rome & Milan.
